Is there a way to open up your map and set down a note, say in HFFF to where I send my heroes or to place down a mark where bosses are located?

If you use texmod, then yes. Though I'm told there is Spyware embedded in texmod.

Theoden, there is nothing wrong with texmod. It's been around for years, and there have been no verifiable claims of spyware or virus infection. Please don't spread information unless you have proof it's true.

Sarc: So far, the only way to leave any type of notes on the map is by using texmod. There are already a couple of mods for HFFF farmers available on the wiki. For any other notes, you'd have to make your own mod.
